The Town of Georgetown is looking for an Animal Control Officer. This position is responsible for enforcing the Animal Control Ordinance and regulating the licensing and care of domestic animals. Applicants should either be ACO certified or able to obtain state-mandated ACO certification within six months of employment.

HELP WANTED – TRANSFER STATION SUBSTITUTE
The Town of Georgetown is developing a pool of qualified Substitute Transfer Station Attendants who can be called upon when one of our regular employees is out sick or on leave. The job requires knowledge of municipal and State regulations about solid waste, hazardous waste, and recycling protocols, as well as an ability to interact positively with the public. The work is physically active and involves being on your feet, outdoors, in all kinds of weather. There is a minimum age requirement of 17 to be considered for this position.
A minimum in-person training of approximately half a day is required prior to acceptance into the pool. Hours worked or in training are eligible for compensation at the rate of $16.00 per hour. Due to the nature of the job, hours cannot be guaranteed, and help may be requested on short notice.

HELP WANTED – PER DIEM DAY POSTITION WITH GEORGETOWN VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT
Georgetown Fire Department is currently accepting applications for per diem Firefighter/EMT positions. Schedule is 1-2 days per week and flexible.
Applicants must have a current state of Maine EMS license, Basic Firefighter certification (FF 1&2 preferred) and EVOC.
Applicants considered for employment must pass a background check.
The hourly pay rate is based on EMS license level: Basic $26.00, Advanced $27.00, Paramedic $28.00.
The Town of Georgetown has a pay-per-call department serving a beautiful mid coast community of approximately 1,200 residents.
